Blockbuster has had a glitch in their online Blockbuster programs for a couple weeks now (at least). I'm signed up for the 2 at a time program, which means... I should get at most 2 movies at a time. When I turn one in, another one is mailed to me. I've been using the Blockbuster Online for a couple of months now, and really like it. They have a much better selection than the stores have, and their Blue-Ray movies are all covered in this same price. That really is the only reason I'm doing this. Normally, HD movies cost $2.00 more than regular DVD's I believe. The same is true if you rent a movie via On Demand, iTunes, PS3, etc. And now even Netflix is charging more for their HD movies. So that is why I appreciate the Blockbuster Online deal.
But over the last couple of weeks, they just keep sending me movies. I'm not really complaining about this.. It seems like a good thing. I really assumed that I could not be the only one that this is happening to, but after googling and searching through Tweats, I cannot find anyone else vocalizing this. Maybe they are afraid Blockbuster would find out about it and fix it. So after waiting for them to fix their own problem, I finally came to the realization that they would not do that, and I sent an email to them yesterday.
The real problem I have with this is that they are also sending me multiple copies of some movies. I have 3 copies of 'Run Lola Run' and 2 copies of 'Transporter 2'. So I figured that if this was happening to multiple people, it could it difficult to get the movie you want. How many copies of 'Run Lola Run' does Blockbuster have?
So after emailing them yesterday, I've received no email back. Not even an automatic reply. That seems strange for a corporation's email.
And then I checked my email a half an hour ago, and another movie was sent to me... Yippee... I now have 10 different movies sent to me (or at my place), and 3 other copies of movies. I'm just now starting to mail them back, so if you are waiting for Run Lola Run.... it should be there shortly!

i would simply utilize the glitch and not let them know. obviously they think you are a phenomenal customer and REALLY want to show their appreciation by sending you more movies for your money. hee hee.
If they just keep sending you duplicates starting sending them to me. I haven't seen a good movie in a long time...
I just received "The The City of Lost Children" today... And still no word from Blockbuster. I obviously won't push them too hard to fix it since they've ignored my email to them. And you're right Mike, I do deserve appreciation for being the loyal customer that I am. :-)
I finally received correspondence from Blockbuster:

Not that I'm complaining, but apparently there is a glitch in Blockbuster's system which is allowing Blockbuster to send me many movies at one time. I thought the problem would eventually be found, but after a week, it is obvious that nobody has noticed, although I would find it odd if I was the only member affected. I'm on the 2 movies at a time plan, but Blockbuster has shipped 8 different movies to me at one time (I believe). I even have 3 copies of Run Lola Run, although my 'Shipped' list only lists the movie once. One movie arrived 5 days before the email saying it was shipped was sent, and then 2 arrived after I received email saying it would be mailed. It does list 'Transporter 2' twice, but I only have that movie once.
Just thought someone might want to look into it.
Thanks,
Eric Schneider
