My friend started a "beer club".. The premise is to "..get together once a month or so, to taste different beers.
Sometimes we’ll go to a tavern, sometimes a local microbrewery and maybe
other times at someone’s humble abode."
Today was the first day. We hit Hal and Al’s. The bar has over a hundred microbrew selections from around Columbus and elsewhere. The have plenty of live music at the pub also, and offer a vegetarian menu which was actually really good.
Awesome food and a very cute bartender. You can't go wrong. :D Definitely had tons of awesome beer. The hightlight of my night (besides Michelle, the cute waitress) was the Young's double chocolate stout. Very awesome. :)
Looks like this will be a fun new tradition, and should be educational on the different Columbus microbreweries. BTW, my favorite is still the Elevator's Doppelbock. :) I also had the Elevator's Dark Horse, a Cincinnati Oatmeal Stout and Irish Car Bomb, so it was a good night. :)
Had a fun night! Hope you all did as well.
